Job Description:

**This is a two-year limited term appointment. Continuation of employment is contingent upon availability of funds.**

The person in this position will serve as lab manager for the Blaine lab. The research undertaken by the Blaine lab is aimed at understanding the development of Alcohol Use Disorders. We do this by examining genetic, neural, and behavioral factors using genomic arrays, fMRI, and EMA (real time assessments via smartphone app).

Currently, the lab is funded by NIH to examine the role of binge drinking as a person moves from social drinking to potentially problematic drinking.

Essential functions include but are not limited to: serving as lab manager; recruiting participants; administering neuropsychological assessments and structured clinical interviews; developing and overseeing a comprehensive data management system; completing neuroimaging data collection; record, compile, processes and analyzes data/samples; assist in the preparation of research results for publications or presentation at conferences to include assisting in literature reviews and assisting in the writing of results and decisions; supervise undergraduate lab assistants.

Minimum Qualifications
Entry into the applicant pool requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Psychology, Neuroscience or a closely related field and knowledge of computers and software programs.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and in a team environment are also required.

Desired Qualifications
Desired qualifications include an honors thesis or a minimum of two semesters of research experience in a Psychology, Biology, Genetics, or Neuroscience lab; and experience with SPSS, SAS, or R programs and with neuroimaging.
