Overview

S2 Event Security, an OSI Systems Company is seeking a Business Development Manager based out of Birmingham, AL.

S2 Event Security is an event security company focused on providing technology and personnel for large public events nationwide. Our solutions combine high-end security technology and professional security staff to provide our customers with safe, effective, and efficient solutions. We are looking for a talented and experienced Director of Business Development to join our team and help grow our business within North America.

Responsibilities

This is a leadership position. The successful candidate would be responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy for the organization to increase revenues.

Essential responsibilities would include:

  • Identifying, qualifying, developing, and converting leads into business opportunities
  • Ensuring that sales targets are achieved by maintaining sales networking and client development activities
  • Working with internal teams to translate customer needs and expectations into reality; developing industry knowledge and maintaining awareness of industry trends
  • Managing existing customer relationships
  • Identifying and developing business relationships with strategic partners
  • Assisting with proposal development and submittals; supporting corporate contracts department with negotiating contracts to include pricing, terms & conditions, and statements of work
  • Working closely with operations staff at S2 Event Security to ensure pipeline business is aligned with current or projected equipment, service and staffing levels
  • Communicating with customers leading up to and during events to successfully manage expectations and respond to emerging needs
  • Assisting operations staff with customer management, planning, and execution at Events as needed
  • Follows corporate policies and procedures

  • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business
  • Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree required, with emphasis in Business, Management, or Marketing preferred
    • 5+ years’ experience in business development and/or management required
    • Background in performing business development and/or operations in the special events/sporting events space strongly preferred
    • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills required
    • Proven track record of developing and managing multiple sales opportunities
    • Extensive experience in the utilization of sales lead software
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
    • Ability to engage clients at all levels of the organization

    Travel Requirements:

    • Possess the willingness and flexibility to travel domestically and internationally up to 75%
    • Work independently to plan and arrange travel accommodations within Company guidelines
    • Possess the flexibility and capability to deal with sudden changes (i.e. customer schedules, flight delays, on site weather delays etc.)
    • Focus on costs savings by planning and arranging travel accommodations as soon as practical
    • Maintain and organize expense receipts and work independently to manage administrative tasks, including the timely submission of expenses and other administrative reporting as required
    • Maintain valid passport and credit card as required to support business travel
