FleetTurbine Specialist- Scheduler


The Fleet Turbine Specialist- Planner is responsible for scheduling and coordination support for all assigned Turbine/Generator refueling outage activities, including Pre-outage and Outage for the SNC Fleet. They serve as the primary liaison to the site’s Outage Scheduling and Work Management organizations with respect to schedule input, work status, schedule updates and work package preparation. This position develops refueling outage window logic structure, coordinating schedule and work activities associated with these windows.


Educational Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Technical BS Degree (preferred)

Background/Experience Requirements

  • Intradepartmental communicationskills (verbal and written)

  • Minimum of 5 years overall powerplant experience with 3 years in a work scheduling role. Possess at least three years plantmaintenance, scheduling, planning, or work management experience.

  • Critical Path scheduling methodknowledge

  • Experience with P6

  • Maintenance or Operation experiencein a coordination capacity

  • Experience planning / schedulingmaintenance resources in at least 3 Turbine/Generator outages (preferred)

  • Turbine/Generator-specific knowledge(preferred)

  • Working knowledge of schedulingtools (preferred)

  • At least 5 years of Nuclear PlantExperience (preferred)

  • Experience directing operationsactivities or planning / scheduling maintenance resources in at least 3refueling outages (preferred)

  • Experience with ESOMs & Maximo(preferred)


  • Responsible for the development ofdetailed plans / schedules for Turbine/Generator forced, planned, and refuelingoutages and coordinating with Site scheduling departments to de-conflict outageactivities for integration into the overall Plant Outage schedule.

  • Responsible for the development andmaintenance of detailed Fleet Turbine/Generator pre-outage/outage schedules andincorporating execution results into future schedules.

  • Responsible to attend the various OutageManagement process and schedule meetings.

  • Solicits best practices internallyand externally to improve organizational effectiveness.

  • Incorporates SNC Fleet outageLessons learned, Industry meetings and industry working groups such as BWROG,PWROG, EPRI, and INPO.

  • Supports the Turbine Team withimprovement initiatives, pre-outage coordination, and post-outage performancecritique.
