Key Responsibilities

We are actively looking for a Human Resources Generalist. As Human Resources Generalist you will:

  • Implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
  • Serve as administrator for benefits and leave programs serving all Abaco employees
  • Serve as 401k administrator
  • Support employee relations initiatives and actions
  • Develop and support diversity initiatives through talent acquisition and workforce education.
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, concerns or other issues
  • Collaborate with leadership to nurture a positive working environment
  • Support a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
  • Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs
  • Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics
  • Ensure legal compliance

Desired Qualifications/Characteristics:

  • Proven working experience as HR Generalist (minimum 3 years)
  • People-oriented and results-driven
  • Demonstrable experience with employee benefits (Hourly/Salary)
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases (Workday experience highly desired)
  • Excellent active listening, negotiating and presentation skills
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
  • Degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience
  • Advanced PC and Excel skills
