We are seeking a Human Resources Manager 3 in Huntsville, Alabama for our Launch & Missile Defense Division/Missile Defense Systems Business Unit with more than 1000 employees nationwide. The HR Manager serves as a strategic business partner providing direct support to the business unit level leadership in the accomplishment of business objectives.
The individual will be expected to be a strategic partner and consultant to help build organizational capability to meet financial and strategic goals. The selected candidate will lead a team of two HR business partners to assist in the development and implementation of HR strategy, programs and policies for the group; including staffing, talent identification, performance management, employee relations, compensation, reward and recognition, succession planning, organization and staff development, leadership/bench strength development, etc.
Project management, interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills, business acumen, and problem solving skills required. Candidate must be flexible and a progressive thinker with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects/tasks from inception to completion in a changing environment.
Excellent communication, collaboration, follow through and strategic partnering skills are required.
Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 5 years of experience in HR professional and/or management levels or related field
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with and influence others
Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects to completion, ability to organize, prioritize, plan, schedule, and follow up on concurrent tasks and elevating issues or obtaining additional resources when necessary
Strong problem solving skills and the ability to be flexible and change directions when needed
Ability to work independently and make independent decisions, ensuring high levels of collaboration with stakeholders and subject matter experts
Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Master's degree in HR, Business, or related field
Experience with multiple worksite responsibility
Change management experience
