Job Description:

Medical Staff (CMA, ETT, EMT1-3, Paramedic, LPN, RN)

Location: Juneau, AK (local applicants)

Schedule: fulltime, 30 - 40 hours/week, 4 - 5 days/week, variable shifts

Job Summary:

Responsible for ensuring delivery of quality care to patients on-site as directed by Beacon’s Chief Operating Officer and our Medical Director. Under the guidance of the Medical Director, implements patient-specific interventions and screening protocols in partnership with the multidisciplinary care team. Primarily responsible for administering COVID-19 screenings to include temperature checks and nasopharyngeal swabs for lab testing and processing COVID rapid result testing. This is a full-time position providing screening, testing, coordination, assisting with quarantine management and medical escalation as needed.

Job Scope:

  • Full-time assignment in Juneau, Alaska, duration expected to be 90+ days
  • Full scope and project duration fluidly changing to support client needs related to the Coronavirus pandemic
  • Perform basic assessments based on travel history, record in accordance with project protocol
  • Preparation of specimen collection for lab and/or rapid result testing
  • Provide education for following preventative practices (proper hygiene, social distancing, etc.)
  • Sanitization of screening stations as per protocol

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma
  • Ability to deliver "rock star" customer service
  • Professional, polished appearance and demeanor
  • Must possess current Alaska certification as appropriate for skill level CMA, ETT, EMT1, EMT2, EMT3, Paramedic, LPN, RN

Physical Demands and Work Conditions:

Work conditions are such that significant time will be spent walking, standing, stooping, sitting. The employee will be working in a potentially high COVID-19 exposure environment and must be able to wear appropriate PPE. Exposure to anesthetic gases, blood and body fluids, sharps, and other health care occupational hazards is routine. Conditions will include exposure to hospital grade cleaning solutions, flammable solutions and gases, e.g., alcohol and oxygen, as well as latex and other industrial chemicals.
