Job Description:

This position will require that the employee work on site at King Salmon Alaska. Employees will live in a dormitory housing environment. Meals are responsibility of individuals and available on the economy.

Key Role: Responsible for the overall operation and maintenance of the Backup power generation equipment.
Must be willing to become BAK-12 AAS task-certified power production specialist and US Air Force certified to work on BAK-12 Aircraft Arresting System. Training will be provided by OEM and cost paid by ASRCC.

Essential Duties:
* Coordinates activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing work of subordinate employees. * Ensures periodic maintenance and exercising of all generators and generator assets to ensure continued reliability. * Ensures scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on auxiliary equipment (fuel oil transfer pumps, lube oil circulating pumps, centrifugal purifiers, circulating water pumps, fuel oil and lube oil systems, and soft water systems). * Checks daily logs to determine proper operation of equipment. * Requisitions supplies, materials, and repair parts. * Prepares daily, monthly, and annual reports of power plant operation, power usage, and costs. * Maintains records, prepares reports, and composes correspondence relative to
the work. * Maintains proficiency in all areas of operations and maintenance of the power plant. * Mechanical and electrical systems throughout the plant. * Electrical and pneumatic controls and automatic boiler/heat exchanger controls.

Mandatory
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three (3) years' experience in maintenance and power plant operations
  • Valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Obtain and maintain a National Agency Check with Inquiries.
  • Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.
Preferred
  • Associate's degree in Construction Management or related field.
  • Previous experience working on a military installation.
  • Previous experience working in a remote location.
