In this comprehensive role, the GVP, Marketing is a key member of the executive team who will contribute to the continued growth and expansion of the business by leading a cross-functional, programmatic Marketing effort. Through integrated internal and external-facing endeavors, our Marketing leader will ensure the Spectrum Enterprise brand is extraordinary and our clients are provided with superior solutions. In our multifunctional role, this operationally oriented executive leader will formulate strategy, develop and activate programs that generate demand, and capitalize on market entry. The GVP, Marketing will ensure client network modernization and seller effectiveness are aggressively supported while building a team culture that fuels programmatic execution, data driven results, and insists upon a client-first, sales-first mindset.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The responsibilities of this role include leadership of the following primary functional areas:
Demand Generation
  • Drives identification and demand of prospective clients, owning marketing and success strategies including community advocacy and loyalty programs plus client insights, lifecycle and retention
  • Cultivates current client demand generation in partnership with Sales, customizing plans for accounts through design and orchestration of multi touch demand creation programs
Segment Strategy & Execution
  • Owns segment marketing as defined by client and sales strategy and developed with cross functional partners, generating offers and programs that allow us to deliver the right products and solutions to our clients
  • Informs product development ensuring packages fit client needs working closely with the Product Marketing team to translate our product messaging and value propositions into relevant vertical messaging and positioning
  • Manages the operational design, implementation process and optimization of programs and campaigns for each segment to meet revenue goals
Brand Activation
  • Cultivates external “household name” status ensuring understanding of who we are and how we present ourselves at macro and micro levels leveraging advertising, brand, creative, and social media
  • Nurtures internal embrace of Brand driving cultural awareness and adoption throughout the organization
Analytics + Tools & Reporting
  • Responsible for process building and refinement,
tools, measurements of success, and program reporting
  • Owns integration of data assets and Marketing data management
  • Public Relations and Marketing Communications
    • Generates and deploys plans that generate marketplace conversation about us including use of client testimonials, white papers, and website contribution
    • Drives optimization of external agency partnerships, ad tools and integration of related platforms
    • Creates content for collateral, sales tools, sales training and other outbound deliverables that educate internal and external communities

    CANDIDATE PROFILE

    The candidate will be a successful expert who has created and executed comprehensive marketing plans and led hands-on execution. Additionally, a proven history of delivering materials, messaging and content to drive efficient quota attainment of professional selling teams is critical for success. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate:

    • Track record of managing/partnering with internal and external constituencies critical to the marketing process (agencies, vendors, internal department heads, etc.)

    EDUCATION
    Requires a Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field, advance degree preferred
