The receptionist at VMLY&R is responsible for first impressions. This person must possess excellent customer service skills and strong attention to detail, as well as a desire to learn and know more about VMLY&R and its daily operations. The receptionist is responsible for handling front office reception and administration duties, including greeting guests, answering phones, handling company inquiries and reserving conference rooms.


  • Act as the face of the office for callers, clients, and guests
  • Greet guests warmly and connect them with the appropriate people
  • Promptly and courteously answer phones. Receive and relay messages
  • Assist in scheduling meetings and conference rooms
  • Regularly distribute the mail and handle all office shipping and receiving
  • Provide administrative support to Executive Assistant/Office Manager in as needed
  • Prepare and review expense reports
  • Assist with meeting preparation and break down
  • Plan, order and oversee lunches and other
weekly office events
  • Ensure the office is fully stocked with supplies, snacks, coffee and other beverages
  • Maintain office appearance to create the best environment for employees and visiting clients
  • Manage local building management relationships and ensuring facilities are clean, in good working order, and up to code
