- You will represent the BSVE Fleet Manager in meetings and conferences with representatives from higher Echelons and outside agencies.
- You are responsible and exercise program management and control of Weight Handling Equipment and Material Handling Equipment
- You will monitor and evaluate directives and policy related to the Weight Handling and Material Handling Business Line.
- You will assist the Fleet Manager with oversight of Weight Handling and Material Handling program control.
- You will designated as a Certifying Official for Weight Handling Equipment and Material Handling Equipment
- You will review for overall consistency, potential problem areas, deficiency situations or areas of imbalance and formulate adjustments require to maintain a balanced program.
- You will monitor the utilization of Weight Handling Equipment and Material Handling Equipment resources against the execution plans

QualificationsFor GS-12: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector 1) Managing the Weight Handling Equipment (WHE) and Material Handling Equipment (MHE) equipment and programs; 2) Reviewing technical data and advising management on critical issues, new requirements and changes in policies; 3) Inspecting, estimating, maintaining and surveying Weight Handling Equipment (WHE) and Material Handling Equipment (MHE); 4) Analyzing program funding estimates, - discrepancies, excesses, and trend imbalances to ensure annual financial plans are met.
For GS-11: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector 1) Assisting with Weight Handling Equipment (WHE) and Material Handling Equipment (MHE) equipment and programs; 2) Interpreting established directive and policies related to Weight Handling Equipment (WHE) for programs objective, operating policies and work operations.; 3) Assisting with inspecting, estimating, maintaining and surveying Weight Handling Equipment (WHE) and Material Handling Equipment (MHE); 4) Planning and estimate material and label charges for repair, testing, and certifying of equipment.
Applicants for the GS-11 grade level, that do not meet the specialized experience as described above may qualify with education or a combination of experience and education, as follows:
You have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree with a major study in accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, nautical science, marine affairs, marine engineering, marine transportation, or other fields related to the position.
You have successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree with a major study in accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, nautical science, marine affairs, marine engineering, marine transportation, or other fields related to the position.
You have successfully completed an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.
You have a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to 100% of the qualification requirement.

The incumbent must possess or be eligible for a Secret Security clearance. In addition, Incumbent is on call 24 hours per day, 7 days per week as situations demand.
