The Security Generalist is a role that supports and understands various areas of Security. A Security Generalist can expect to cross-train and transition to different areas within Security to support the L3Harris mission. The primary role will be supporting the 24/7 Global Security Operations Center (GSOC). Utilizing technologies such as access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection system. The GSOC play a vital role in emergency management, coordinating responses by various stakeholders. Secondary responsibilities include support of visitor and access control, physical security, controlled asset management, and communications security.
Job Duties:
- Responsible for monitoring and operating security systems including intrusion detection, access control, CCTV, environmental monitoring, fire alarm systems, and employee travel application
- Manage and coordinate responses to access control, fire, intrusion, and environmental alarms
- Perform duties related to Crisis Management and Emergency Operations
- Initiate, and coordinate responses with emergency responders, internal stakeholders, Law Enforcement, contract security guard force, and security leadership during an emergency or incident
- Manage communications for emergency and non-emergency calls, to include handling radio dispatch, phones, and email
- Act as a liaison between L3Harris, contractors, and external vendors, including security guard force and journey management provider
- Monitor email inboxes, work order service requests and other communications devices; prioritize and process incoming information
- Generate and track work orders, daily reports, and incident reports
- Create and track metrics related to the systems, incidents, work orders, and responses
- Create accurate and timely incident reports, escalating as appropriate and necessary
- Assist with Investigations; CCTV and access control audit
- Complete tasks, additional duties, and projects within a specific time frame as assigned
- Monitor and evaluate
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 6 years prior experience, 2 years post-secondary/AA Degree and 2 years prior experience
- US citizenship required
- Minimum of a Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong computer skills and basic knowledge of computer programs to include Microsoft office suite and data entry software
- Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing
- Experience working in DoD Collateral, SCIF, and SAPF environments
- Strong initiative and willingness to learn new things in a challenging environment
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Able to work under stressful conditions
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
- Flexibility, sound judgment, and ability to multi-task

- Experience with IP based networking technology
- A working knowledge of security principles, concepts, and technologies
- Certifications or additional training on the following systems is a plus:
