Job Description:

Aloha!! Hi-Power Solar is a local family-owned-and-operated solar company seeking a highly qualified photovoltaic crew lead to work on residential and commercial projects.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  • Possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Minimum 3 years PV installation experience
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards related to photovoltaic installations and ability to enforce
  • Ability to read single-line-diagrams and electrical schematics
  • Strong mechanical/construction skills with roof top experience
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and people skills
  • Ability to motivate and discipline when necessary
  • Strong work ethic, high level of workmanship, excellent attention to detail
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Basic hand tools

Preferred Qualification Requirements:

  • 1 year solar electrical experience
  • 1 year construction management experience

Performance Requirements:

  • Responsible for the successful installation of solar projects
  • Prep rooftops (with proper penetration and flashing technique) and mount solar panels
  • Conduct supervised light electrical work including running electrical wires to the inverters
  • Organize, lead, and train crew members to complete projects within established guidelines and time frames
  • Ensure that there is adequate materials and equipment to safely and efficiently complete projects
  • Effectively maintain project documentation and photo requirements
  • Ensure accuracy of your own and your crew's time sheets

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to transport materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks
  • Ability to work on rooftops with various angles and surfaces which requires frequent bending, twisting, squatting, climbing, kneeling, crawling, turning, standing, and balance
  • Ability to work in confined spaces such as attics, basements, and crawl spaces which requires kneeling and crouching
  • Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions including but not limited to: excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, wet environment, and humidity
  • Ability to work within the safe range of equipment such as ladders, fall protection harnesses and other personal protective equipment
  • Ability to walk on rafters, roof tiles, and roof shingles without damage
  • Ability to lift 50-lbs
