Job Description Summary
Lead multiple audit projects, provide supervision and oversight to other auditors, and develop and maintain ongoing relationships with key audit contacts. Able to execute on audits of new and/or existing processes to ensure that appropriate controls exist, process is efficient and accurate, and procedures are in compliance with standards. Possess and apply advanced knowledge to the completion of complex assignments.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead multiple and concurrent projects in accordance with department standards for quality.

  • Communicate audit progress and results to both department and business unit management, both verbally and in writing.

  • Prepare timely reports/memos that detail the results of work and improvement recommendations.

  • Effectively identify and evaluate the risks/impacts associated with identified processes.

  • Make effective decisions and recommend changes to procedures to increase efficiency and quality.

  • Educate and coach other auditors on audit principles and audit execution; may be assigned direct reports.

  • Establish program reporting protocols through defining reporting metrics, delivering reporting analytics, creating reporting dashboards and other reporting outputs as needed to communicate program key performance indicators (KPI) and status.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Management Information Systems (MIS) or equivalent experience.

  • Seven years of audit experience or equivalent business experience.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency using MS Office

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or related certifications.

  • Two or more years of managerial experience preferred.

  • Two years of vendor management, third-party risk management, operational risk management, or experience in establishing third-party controls or compliance

  • Experience working with insurance and/or financial services industry in a third-party risk capacity

  • Experience defining and documenting standards, processes, and procedures

  • Experience with project management, program management, or similar disciplines where change management practices are deployed

  • Written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact with stakeholders across all disciplines of the organization

  • Understanding of organization and industry governance, and applicable third-party policy and

regulations.

  • Working Conditions:

    • Commuting Remote employees will need to report to a Company office location at times, but will perform their work primarily remotely.

    • Travel 15-25%

Similar positions located outside of Colorado will not necessarily receive the same compensation. **


    Compensation:

    The salary for this position generally ranges between $77,000-$102-000. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law. The range may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rule 4.1.2.


    Bonus Eligibility:

    This position is also typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at Company Discretion at a rate of 12.5%.
