Area Intake Coordinator

Care Initiatives Corporate Office

West Des Moines, IA


Care Initiatives is adding an additional Area Intake Coordinator to join our Central Intake Team. This full-time, remote position will:


  • Assist in the coordination of all admissions to facility in accordance with budgeted census projections
  • Verify potential residents Insurance and obtain insurance authorization for admission
  • Proactively reach out to and respond to inquiries from hospital discharge planners, families and other referral sources


Required education/job experience:
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Managed Care and Medicaid Insurance a plus
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Knowledge of hospital referral systems and electronic medical records
  • Self-starter-work from home position
  • On Call nights and weekend rotation with 5 other
co-workers

Occasional travel is required within your defined territory. Must be insurance by our auto insurance carrier. Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check is required.
