This position is key in coordinating patient care across several multi-disciplinary clinics.
This position will use communication and organizational skills to facilitate the multidisciplinary coordination of effort necessary for quality patient care/satisfaction by partnering with physicians, clinical and front desk staff, and other departments to achieve the desired outcome for patients/families.
The primary job functions of this position will be to schedule procedures and surgeries for various oncology specialists as well as obtain insurance authorizations for the services.
Experience in medical terminology, CPT and ICD-10 coding, obtaining insurance authorizations, scheduling procedures, working with electronic records, and customer service. Communication, organization and multi-tasking skills, computers.
Associate degree in a healthcare related field plus six years related experience preferred.
