Interim Assistant Athletic Trainer

Brandeis University seeks to hire an Interim Assistant Athletic Trainer to provide medical coverage and daily care, prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries to student-athletes. Assists in the daily maintenance of the athletic training room and may supervise interns and student staff.

Examples of Key Responsibilities:

• Provide care, prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries for varsity athletes; provide coverage for varsity athletic contests and practices; travel with varsity teams as assigned and maintain appropriate medical records, including pre-participation physicals, injury and rehabilitation documentation, outreach clearance forms, and insurance information. Maintain emergency action plans for all relevant venues. May provide medical assistance to visiting team athletes.
• Assist in the daily maintenance of the athletic training room; supervise interns and student staff and provide first aid to club sport athletes

and Brandeis students and faculty members during athletic training room operating hours.

Qualifications:

B.A./B.S. required. M.A./M.S. preferred plus 1-3 years experience

NATABOC(National Athletic Training Association) National Certification; Licensed athletic trainer in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts; CPR, AED, and First Aid for the Professional Rescuer Certified
