Patient Services Representative
Mankato - Minnesota (MN),
72 hours per pay period (every two weeks)
The Patient Services Representative is responsible for appropriately scheduling patients (in-person or by phone) who are in need of diagnostic services or outpatient clinic services in a manner which corresponds to the satisfaction of the customer and in accordance with the healthcare facility’s scheduling requirements. This position will serve as a resource to providers and customers in coordinating internal and external appointments, referrals and related needs. This will also include various tasks dealing with the referral process and works under the direction of the Manager of Patient Services. He/She works with clinic personnel, patients, other medical facilities, and insurance companies to ensure that quality health care is provided in an efficient manner.
Requirements include ability to work cooperatively with patients, families and all members of the healthcare team, effective communication skills and organizational skill, Computer skills Ability to work independently prioritize tasks and demonstrates the characteristics of listening, respect and compassion. Previous healthcare office experience is preferred.
