Job Description:
The Crisis Stabilization Worker works independently with minimal supervision to coordinate care and services to meet the needs of clients presenting with emotional or psychiatric crisis. Basic knowledge of serious mental illness, active listening and communication skills required.
Essential Job Responsibilities: Provides daily behavioral supervision of consumers in the crisis stabilization program assuring safety at all times. Professionally represents WMMHC to the community by providing consultation, information, and attending community meetings upon request of supervisor. Answer Crisis Line in accordance with program policies and procedures. Provides transportation to consumers using a motor vehicle, this typically requires a current Montana drivers license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle. Completes all required paperwork in compliance with State Standards and WMMHC Policies and Procedures.
Qualifications: Basic knowledge of serious mental illness, active listening and communication skills required. Computer skills required to submit electronic documentation & call logs as you will use e‐mail and internet for authorization process. Demonstrates
Education & Experience: The above knowledge and abilities are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to an associate arts degree in social work, counseling or a related behavioral science, and one year related work experience or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field.
