Marketing Sales Consultant

The Helena Independent Record has an opening for a Marketing Sales Consultant in our advertising sales department. A successful candidate will be able to share the many benefits of newspaper, digital and niche product with new and current clients.

This is a fast-paced, challenging position that requires a self-starter, someone ready to hit the ground running with no limits on success. Our sales staff is fortunate to sell the leading media in Helena, whether that is print or digital.

Applicants must be forward thinking and able to apply the many benefits of the Independent Record advertising to a variety of businesses.

Qualifications: Experience in Business, Marketing, Advertising,

or related area preferred, with 3-5 years of successful sales experience. A strong understanding of current digital advertising channels is essential. We are looking for someone with good communication skills, someone who will work collaboratively with clients to meet their marketing needs, and someone experienced in creating and delivering effective sales presentations. Must be comfortable generating new business. General knowledge of newspaper operations is a plus. Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and dependable automobile is required.
