Description
The Yellowstone East Area Supervisor is responsible for the maintenance and operations of assets in and around the Billings, Bozeman, Helena and Great Falls area. This position requires the ability to plan and execute maintenance and operations activities, small capital projects and interfacing with 3rd party suppliers, contractors and local governmental officials, property owners and regulatory agencies. The Area Supervisor must be able to work under limited supervision and provide leadership to employees and contractors in accordance with Phillips 66 Pipeline Company safety standards, policies and procedures.
Responsibilities May Include
Ensuring the safe, effective and efficient performance of maintenance and operation activities.
Supervising, training and directing employees Knowledge of and provide guidance for company policies, procedures and directives.
Providing consistent guidance to organization relating to county, state and federal regulatory compliance.
Availability to respond to operational upsets.
Performing as the Incident Commander during emergencies.
Providing input and guidance on capital and expense projects.
Responsibility for safety of self, employees and contractors.
Working under minimal supervision.
Responsibility for the maintenance and operations of product pipelines, pump stations and other equipment.
Interfacing with key support groups and stakeholders to ensure goal alignment.
Assisting in developing and managing area of responsibility operating budget.
Identifying and implement process improvements.
Knowledge of emergency response processes and procedures.
Well-developed supervisory skills.
Knowledge of DOT regulated pipeline systems and Right of Way requirements.
Knowledge of maintenance, reliability and integrity management programs.
Knowledge of SAP functionality.
Demonstrated safety leadership.

Must maintain a valid driver's license
7 or more years of experience in petroleum pipeline and/or terminal operations
Willing and able to travel overnight potentially 25% of the time
Preferred:
Associate’s degree
3 or more years of supervisor or leadership experience
Working knowledge of pipeline and facility mechanical maintenance
Working knowledge of pipeline instrument and electrical
Working knowledge of regulatory requirements for pipeline and terminals
Working knowledge of petroleum liquids measurement
Beginner level of proficiency using SAP
