Company Overview:Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada (CCCN) is an award-winning multidisciplinary oncology group comprising medical oncology, hematology, radiation oncology, breast surgery and pulmonary medicine, with 13 treatment centers and offices throughout Southern Nevada. For more than 35 years, the practice has provided oncology services to patients in and out of state with a specialized physician and nursing staff. Our team is dedicated to providing the most effective treatments, both existing and emerging, in order to diagnose and successfully treat cancer and blood disorders. Career Opportunity:
We are seeking a Telephone Operator float that will be based at the Northwest Clinic in Las Vegas, Nevada. The telephone operator acts as a first contact for telephone callers and plays a crucial roll in patient care. In this role, you will work with some of the best physicians in their fields while providing care to patients in a successful health care organization.
The essential functions for the Telephone Operator include the following:
- Courteously and efficiently answers all incoming calls and connects callers with the correct extension
- Takes and relays messages in an accurate and timely manner
- Responds to emergency and urgent calls from patients in a timely manner. Directs callers immediately to clinical staff as necessary
- Performs operator functions including
triaging calls; connecting and transferring calls; setting up conference calls; instructing users on telephone procedures; and reporting telephone and equipment malfunctions to the appropriate party
Provides a pleasant and helpful phone contact for callers
Responsible for opening and closing the switchboard
Performs clerical duties as assigned to maintain workflow in the department
