Lockheed Martin is seeking a Parachute Rigger for a position in Fayetteville, NC. Duties include:
Plans, develops, and implements technical product training programs for customers, and/or employees, and field support personnel. Technical training may include standard, repeatable modules, customized and new product modules. Obtains information from customer and technical organizations, engineering, software and product requirements to prepare training programs; prepares lesson plans and training materials; designs product demonstrations; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids. Conducts training sessions, product demonstrations, and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. May utilize trainers with technical expertise. May administer tests. Continuously revises lesson plans to ensure course material reflect product features, meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date. May include military trainers. Shall be familiar with airborne operations, policies, procedures, and ancillary equipment.
Must be qualified to pack tactical and non-tactical Commercial Off the Shelf systems. Focus on Military Free Fall equipment and support in additional to cargo parachute packing, including precision systems and airdrop load rigging. Required to assist military rigger active in/around active and inactive aircraft at the discretion of the work supervisor. Maintain Prescribed Load List (PLL) and inventory of current parachute systems being used. Be familiar with airborne operations, policies, procedures and ancillary equipment.
FAA Senior and/or Master Parachute Rigger Certification.
Certification from U.S. Army Quartermaster Center & School 92R.
10+ years of experience on maintaining freefell personnel and cargo parachute systems.
Knowledgeable of standard military terminology, processes and data interchange system.
Ability to act independently with little supervision
Extensive communication skill, both written and oral
Excellent business management, organization and administrative skills
Must be able to lift 50 pounds
