The Front Office Patient Care Specialist will handle various administrative tasks in our front office area and will play an important role in communicating effectively with patients and maintaining an efficient schedule. The Front Office Patient Care Specialist will maintain and organize all administrative functions in the front office, including reception tasks – receiving and distributing office email, answering the office phone and distributing calls or messages accordingly, greeting patients, communicating patients’ arrival promptly, and managing administrative records. The Front Office Patient Care Specialist will also coordinate scheduling, including maintaining electronic records and documentation regarding dental insurance, treatments and transactions.
The Front Office Patient Care Specialist communicates with insurance companies, insured patients, and other team members in the dental office to ensure correct insurance information is provided and verified in a timely manner. This position is responsible for verifying insured patients’ information is current, and all details of the patient’s dental benefits are properly entered into practice management software in order to help provide the patient with accurate financial estimates for their treatment plan.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- A friendly, positive demeanor with patients and supported dental office team members
- Great administrative organizational skills
- Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new programs
- Must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of dentistry, dental procedures, and dental insurance
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to multi task
- One-year dental experience necessary
Must have full time availability: Monday – Friday 7:30 – 5:30
