A vacancy exits for a temporary Early Head Start Community Engagement and Enrollment Specialist performs a variety of duties designed to ensure full enrollment through collaboration with community agencies and through recruitment activities with families. This assignment ends in June, 2023.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Plan and coordinate collaboration activities with community agencies serving similar populations.
Actively participate in regularly scheduled community partner, HUB, and other applicable meetings.
Meet with Early Head Start Family Service workers to provide updates on community resources and gather information related to family needs.
Develop and implement a recruitment and enrollment plan with the Early Head Start Supervisor.
Promote recruitment and enrollment through participation in community events and coordination of internal recruitment activities.
Conduct In-Person Interviews (IPIs) with families interested in enrolling, following all Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment and Attendance (ERSEA) guidelines.
Establish and maintain an enrollment waitlist.
Coordinate regular meetings with Family Service staff and childcare partners to

understand waitlists, vacancies, upcoming students transitions, and other enrollment needs.
Complete weekly enrollment report to be submitted to the Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL).
Verify data for the Program Information Report and utilize data to explain any discrepancies or changed information.

Qualifications:
Degree in Social Services or a closely related field is required.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Must have access to an automobile.
Maintain effective professional relationships with students, parents, staff, and outside agencies.
Provide direct support to students and childcare partners and outside agencies.

Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 260 days, 8 hours per daySalary Range:

$50,752 - $61,900 Annual
