Accounts payable is responsible for the timely processing and payments of vendors providing material, services, or supplies for the operation of the company. This includes reporting for tax compliance, open accounts, and subcontractor requirements.
Responsible for Petty Cash
Process all check requests, garnishments and tax payments insuring all appropriate approvals have been received
Account for all credit card expenditures
1099 Vendor maintenance and reporting
Issue resale and Tax Exemption Certificates
Completion, submittal, and maintenance of Company Credit Applications
Report preparation for Executive Management for budget review process
Perform other duties as requested and assigned in a timely fashion
Job Requirements/Essential skills and experience:
Proficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software applications, especially Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
Knowledge of office administration procedures.
Ability to operate most standard office equipment.
Attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
Good to excellent spelling, grammar and written communication skills.
Excellent telephone and oral communication skills.
Associate's degree (A. A) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or one or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
