Seeking a qualified King Air Pilot to be based in Pierre, SD. Pilots with King Air G1000 flight time preferred. This position will involve passenger flights and fire management flights and ensure flights are conducted in safe manner with the knowledge of aircraft flight manual and Federal Aviation Regulations.

The incumbent must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays and conduct short notice fire flights for 12 days duration. Additionally, assist to maintain cleanliness of aircraft.

This position is exempt from the Civil Service Act.

Licenses and Certifications:

FAA Airline Transport Pilot certificate for multi-engine land. Current FAA First or Second Class Medical.

Must provide copy of pilot and medical certificates.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Applicants with flight experience to include 5,500 hours total flight time of which 4,500 are pilot in command. 1,000 flight hours of cross country flight time, 2,000 hours King Air 200 flight time and 3,000 flight hours multi-engine turbine flight time are preferred.

Ability to be issued an Interagency Pilot Qualification Card.

Knowledge of:

  • pilot experience with Garmin G1000 Flight System.

Ability to:

  • be insurable in King Air 200 and 90 Aircraft is a must;
  • comply with all Federal Aviation Administration requirements;
  • accurately complete required paperwork;
  • maintain safety culture as a primary concern;
  • complete simulator training on an annual basis.
