Infrastructure Design Group, Inc. is a civil engineering and land surveying services firm providing professional services to public and private clients in the eastern South Dakota region. We provide professional engineering, surveying, and consulting services to local municipalities, county and state

DOT’s, and other state departments, as well as private sector clients. We have an immediate opening for a full time Registered Land Surveyor or has the ability to become registered in SD within 1 year. This position is open to being located in our Sioux Falls, Mitchell or Watertown, SD offices.

Primary duties of a Land Surveyor include being in responsible charge of and performing boundary surveys, topographic surveys, construction staking and drafting. This person will aid in planning, organizing and directing survey projects as well as schedule projects in logical steps and budget time and resources required to meet deadlines. Must have the ability to interpret plan sets, perform calculations and communicate well with other staff and clients. You will work under and report to a Company Director on a daily basis. We are interested in a motivated individual capable of taking on multiple responsibilities as a team player.

Qualifications

The Land Surveyor/LSIT position requires a minimum of 6 years of related experience. Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Microstation/InRoads and experience with Trimble

Center, Total Station and GPS is preferred. Requires, at a minimum, being able to lift 40 lbs., travel overnight occasionally and the ability to work in the field in all weather conditions.
