Job Description:

A multi-skilled individual that works in a healthcare setting to support the non-clinical and clinical functions of the service area. Performs administrative duties (scheduling, registration, filing, referrals, billing and bookkeeping) and maintains a clean organized work environment. Functions under the direction and continuous supervision of a licensed healthcare provider (MD, NP, RN, LPN) during performance of uncomplicated clinical services and tasks. Reports to department management. Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience, Education and Training Minimum: Graduate of an approved school for Medical Assistants (MOA, MAA, MA). One to two years experience in a related healthcare field preferred. Current registration/certification as a Medical Assistant

preferred, or military medical experience with MA certification/registration required. Current CPR certification required. Copy of diploma/certificate from school on file in HR and in Department file. Must provide record of a completed diploma (or equivalent) or academic transcript for those areas performing complexity testing.

Seeking a highly motivated, customer service focused MOA applicant interested in working in a fast paced infusion center for children with Cancer and Bleeding Disorders. Pediatric and/or phlebotomy experience preferred. Responsibilities include patient triage, phlebotomy, and office duties as assigned. Applicant will work directly with members of the team in office to provide high level of care to patient population.
